A few weeks ago i went down to slimbridge in gloucestershire with my grandad and it was a brilliant day out, these are the species we saw mute swans, whooper swans, european white fronted goose, greylag goose, canada goose, barnacle goose, dark bellied brent goose, shelduck, wigeon, mallard, pochard, tufted duck, eider, goldeneye, smew, pheasant, great crested grebe, cormorant, grey heron, moorhen, coot, avocet, ringed plover, lapwing, dunlin, snipe, curlew, redshank, black headed gull, common gull, woodpigeon, robin, blue tit, rook, chaffinch, greenfinch and a goldfinch.
I also went birding yesterday with my good friend jason around bloxwich and sneyd, we spent most the day looking for a place called stubbers green and unfortunately didn't find it, if anyone knows where it is please comment. The species we saw were, coot, canada goose, mute swan, moorhen, blackheaded gull, sparrowhawk(male, alone), tufted duck, magpie, black bird, lesser black backed gull, woodpigeon, collared dove, starling, goldfinch, carrion crow, chaffinch, greenfinch, bullfinch, long tailed tit and robin.
I have a birdfeeder up in my garden filled with a mixture of wild bird seed and sunflower hearts and that attracts a lot of birds. Today i haven't seen many apart from the usual woodpigeons and blackbirds.
I hope my blogging interests you, thanks for reading
